May is HEIFER month
at The Church of the Pilgrimage
Heifer International's mission is to work with communities around the world to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. Beginning in 1944 Heifer has worked in 125 countries and helped 32 million families. Heifer’s unique program provides over 20 species of farm animals along with training in animal care, Animals provide milk, eggs and meat for families in need of protein. Offspring and products are sold to provide other necessities including school fees for children. Community involvement helps farmers work together to support one another and market their products.
The Church of the Pilgrimage has continuously supported Heifer International each year for the past 52 years. We hope to reach goal of 80 donors to Heifer in May - in observance of Heifer’s 80th Anniversary in 2024.
During Sundays in May, please stop by to see us at the Heifer International display table in Allerton Hall during Fellowship hour. You may give by check, through a pledge, or on-line (using the red button).
