Organist & Office Manager

MICHAEL EATON

Clergy & Staff

Michael Eaton has served as a church musician for over forty years. In addition to several churches in Massachusetts, he has served as organist in New Hampshire and North Carolina. He has given recitals in Nantucket, Boston and New York State as well as serving as organist for the Greensboro Hornets, a minor league baseball team in North Carolina.

Michael has a degree in pipe organ performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. He has studied with John Skelton, Kathryn Eskey, Yuko Hayashi and William Porter.

Michael recently retired from the Andover Organ Company after thirty-two years. At Andover he designed, built, and maintained pipe organs throughout the eastern United States. Michael continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Andover. He still occasionally tunes for a few long-term colleagues.

He joined the staff at Church of the Pilgrimage as Organist in 2008. Since that time he has overseen the maintenance and improvement of the magnificent Roche pipe organ in the sanctuary.

Drawing on extensive experience working in church settings and as part of the leadership at the Andover Organ Company, Michael stepped into the role of Office Manager in 2024.

Michael lives in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He and his wife Katherine are the proud parents of Marc and William.
